High Speed Internet is On the way for Indians
Well, all of us have something to rejoice! Cabinet of Indian Govt. has passed National Telecom Policy -NTP 2012 which will help bring drastic changes in information broadcasting and mobile telephony services.
The highlights of the bill for national telecom policy are:
- Minimum 2MBPS Broadband speed -Broadband for all
- One Nation-One Number: Nationwide portability access
- No roaming charges in other circles in the county
- Domestic Manufacturing- Making India a global hub
- Increase rural teledensity from the current level of around 39 to 70 by the year 2017 and 100 by the year 2020
- Cloud computing and inclusion of IPV6
- Increase use of Voice-over Internet protocol (VOIP)

it is.. No roaming charges is cool…. but min.2 MBPS will be implemented by 2020

It sure sounds too good to be true.. after all these years, India seems to be catching up to reality!
but my MTNL still works so slow.. if only all ISPs could be like Airtel.. quick to act!
