So, wondering some sports that are too weird that makes me laugh but its true. These 10 weird sports are being played and National level contests also happens. Here’s the list of those sports:

Toe wrestling:

What used to be a popular activity among children is now one of the most competitive sports. The world toe wrestling competition was first held at a pub in Derbyshire, London 1976. The locals thought it would be a great idea to contest wherein individuals lock toes against each other and force their opponent’s foot to the ground. The event managers tried to include the sport in Olympics in 1997, but it wasn’t accepted.

Human vs. Horses:

This event first started in 1980 when a landlord decided to hold the event when he heard to men arguing whether or not a human could ever beat a horse in a cross country race. This sport is annually held in Llanwrtyd in Wales, UK. It involves contestants racing against mounted horse contestants, testing the speed and agility of humans.

Fist Ball:

Here the players Hits or punches the Ball with their fists to the side of the court where their opponents cannot reach. After passing the net, the ball may be bounced three or more times and five players are allowed in each team. This sport is even featured in World Games.

Wife Carrying:

The tagline of this bizarre sport is” where love is the key to success”. First launched in Finland this sport actually requires a male contestant to carry a female teammate on his back, and they need to move through a special obstacle course as fast as possible. This sport is majorly held in Sonkajarvi (Finland), Monona, Wisconsin, Michigan.

Bog Snorkeling:

Bog snorkeling is a sport in which competitors swim in a water filled trench. Competitors must use flippers and snorkels and should complete the entire water track by swimming with the use of Flippers and not using traditional swimming techniques. This event occurs on every August Bank Holiday in jam-packed Peat Bog just outside Llanwrtyd in Wales.

Boxing with Brains:

This is a unique entertainment sport that combines strength with intelligence. A game wherein individuals engage in chess as well as boxing matches in alternating rounds. The match lasts up to eleven rounds-6 rounds of chess and 5 rounds of boxing with a four minute chess round in the beginning followed by two minutes of boxing. The sport is organized by World Chess Boxing Organization (WCBO).

Underwater hockey:

Same as hockey, but underwater this team game has become popular in countries like Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Canada. Here two teams compete hard against each other to put the Puck into the ‘goals’ at the bottom of the swimming pool. This uncanny sport is also called “Octopush”.

Biggest Beard Competition:

It’s true that Facial hair gives man a more masculine look, but a contest? The World Beard and Moustache Championship necessitate a contestant to have sprouting and most extraordinary beards or moustaches. Categorically these beards are divided into:

Kickball for Grownup’s:

Kickball by and large a childhood game has made a return to USA, but this time among the adults. Competitors are taking this game even more seriously with the advent of World Adult kickball Association.

Cheese Rolling:

The funniest, yet silliest and nonsensical sport is cheese rolling, as considered by many. Here balls of Double Gloucester cheese is rolled down the hill and brave participants need to chase them. Competitors slip, fall over, and tumble their way down in a breathtaking manner during bone- crunching races and the first one who grabs the cheese wins!
