Dropbox is one of the most preferred cloud service by tech savvy people. But 2 GB is less for all our needs and it cannot be used to store your heavy pictures and music. Moreover if you need extra space, you will have to shell out bucks that you may not afford. But do you know, by some simple and legitimate tricks, you can easily get extra space on Dropbox and that too free! Here’s how you can do it:
1. Dropbox gives you Welcome space
When you log into Dropbox, you’ll notice a “Getting Started” tab on the top of the interface. If you complete five of the steps under that tab, Dropbox will give you an extra 250 MB of space for free.
2. Sync your Facebook and Twitter Accounts
If you’re a Twitter or Facebook user, you can get up to 512 MB of free space by performing a few simple social media-related tasks on Dropbox’s “free” page. You will have to connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts, follow @dropbox on Twitter. You can also drop a line for them and in return they give you free space.
3. Connect a .Edu Email Address to Your Account
You are lucky if you have .edu email address ( your official email id of your educational institute). Why? Because for every referral, you will receive double the space you may receive for normal email ids.
