HOW TO : File Online Passport Application

Applying for the Online passport application has become quick and hassle-free now. Follow the simple steps as show below and apply for online passport.

This is how can you go through Online Passport Application

Step 1. :

Go to this link . This is Passport Seva Portal registration link,where you can register yourself to apply for passport online.

Step 2. :

After registration is completed, you can login to seva portal with the credentials you had used above.

Step 3:

Click “Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue of Passport” link.

Step 4:

Fill in all the required details in the form, like home address. etc . Mention all the details correctly. With this details, your application will be processed. After filling all the required and necessary information, click on Submit

Step 5:

After you submit the form, Click on “View Saved/Submitted Applications” screen in the website.

Step 6:

Click the “Pay and Schedule Appointment” link on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” screen to schedule an appointment.

Step 7:

To schedule the appointment, it is mandatory for you to make your payment online. Following are the ways, you can make your payment :

• Credit card/debit card (Mastercard and Visa)
• Internet Banking (*State Bank of India and Associated SBI Banks only)
• SBI Offline Challan Payment

Step 8:

Click the “Print Application Receipt” link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.

Step 9:

Visit the passport Seva Kendra on the date and time of appointment booked along with all your original documents.

Things to take note of :

• You need to resubmit your online passport application incase you do not visit Seva Kendra within 90 days of your online application submission
• You do not to take appointment only in case of emergency/medical cases and pre approved categories by Govt. Of India.
