Japanese cellular network company NTT DoCoMo, along with electronic firm Fujitsu, has come up with a sensational prototype device sporting a transparent, dual sided OLED touchscreen Android smartphone. It provides the users to perform tasks via the front and rear screens of the phone at the same time. As per the company, one can hold down an icon on the front and slide on the back to move an icon and many more.
DoCoMo is the first company to incorporate Android with the dual sided touchscreen. The display is QVGA with 2.4 inches which is way too small by users’ expectations though the company is planning to make it larger. Another issue with the phone is the low brightness of the screen making it bit hard to view in bright lights.
So guys, do the dual sided transparent smartphone interests you? Don’t you think it might hinder your privacy?

Excellent product I must say and yes I feel practically it would be useful as it would give you new experience while capturing a picture, using applications and enrich user experience of using cell phones…but chances of this pieces getting damaged would be increased…i think.
Oh yes this won't be durable.

As far as innovation is concern its good but not for practical use. Yar one side touch phone is too much and here it's double side.
agreed… it would be fyn if something like watch or photo frame comes like this but mobile?? ummm not practical..

Well, it does not make any sense to use double sided touchscreen.. it wont be user friendly… but this is a big innovation
Yupz and the person at the other end would easily spy what actually we are doing in our phone
thats true…. big privacy issues..
