To utter surprise, the students of Class 12 in Tamilnadu are shocked to see the list of toppers. Not because, there names are not their, but the toppers of class 12 are actually murderers of Former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.
“The atmosphere in the prisions is changing for better. We look at prisioners as individuals,” S.K. Dogra, the additional director general of police.
A total of 35 prisoners appeared for +2 exams and all of them have passed. Rajiv Gandhi killers Murugan alian Sriharan and A.G. Perarivalan alias Arivu had scored high marks.
How much did they score?
Murugan got 200/200 in Commerce and an overall 80 percentage (983/1,200 marks) while Perarivalan scored 91 percent (1,096/1,200 marks). They appeared as private candidates from Vellore Jail.
What are the charges levied against them?
Both the killers are facing gallows but their order is on stay as President took 11 year for their mercy plea. Perarivalan was only 19 year old when he was arrested on charges of murder of former Prime Minister.
